For dairy farms
Dairy farm record keeping that fits your daily routine
Milkings, bulk tank temperatures, health events and incidents, recorded on the phone in the parlour and the sheds. The app works without coverage and syncs later. We set it up with you before your team starts.

A starting template, finished with you
We do not hand you an empty system, and we do not claim to have a finished one for every dairy farm either. We start from our dairy template: milking registrations, tank temperature checks, health events, routines and incidents.
Before go-live we go through it with you. We change the times, the forms, the alert limits and the people who receive them, so the setup matches how your farm actually works. After the first days we adjust whatever needs it.
What the dairy setup records
Each registration takes a minute on the phone, at the place where the work is done.
Milking registration
After each milking, staff register the number of cows milked and the litres of milk. Milkings are scheduled twice a day, for example 05:00 and 17:00, with a reminder to the person on duty.
Milk tank temperature
The bulk tank temperature is registered twice a day, for example at 07:00 and 19:00. If it is above the limit — 6 °C by default, adjustable for your farm — a critical alert is pushed to the people responsible.
Health events per animal
Register the animal ID and the event — mastitis, lameness, calving or a treatment — with notes.
Routines that cannot slip
Recurring jobs are set up per department with reminders. A routine not done by its deadline is marked as missed, so it does not quietly disappear.
Incidents with photos
A broken gate, a leaking water trough, a fault in the parlour: anyone can report it with photos. A supervisor assigns it and follows it through to closed, with a comment at each step.
A warm tank does not wait until morning
When a tank reading is above your limit, the alert goes out as critical. On iPhone it is time-sensitive and comes through the Focus modes the user allows; on Android it uses its own channel with sound and vibration.
The supervisor opens it, acknowledges it — even without coverage — and resolves it with a note on what was done. If nobody acknowledges a critical alert, it is sent again and escalated. If no phone can be reached, the alert is e-mailed.

Works in the sheds, in your team's language
Signal is often poor in cow housing and the parlour. Registrations, photos, checklists and alert acknowledgements are saved on the phone first and sent in order when the connection returns. If an answer from the server is lost, the app sends again and nothing is counted twice.
The app is available in English, Swedish and Turkish today, and each worker picks their own. More languages can be added on request.

Records you can stand behind
Every registration keeps who made it, when, and on which device. A correction does not overwrite the original: it becomes a new version with a reason. Nothing is deleted.
So when you need to look back at a milking, a tank reading or a treatment, the full history is there. Tables can be exported to Excel or PDF when you need to share them or keep a copy.
Your milking and herd systems, connected
Many dairy farms already have a milking system or herd software that holds useful figures. If it can export data or has an API, we build an integration so its figures arrive in Chickensystem as registrations. Nobody has to type the same number twice.
Integrations are built for each farm's own systems. What is possible, and the price, we agree after a conversation about what you have.
How you get started
- 1
Tell us about your farm
Your sites, sheds, herd size, how you keep records today and what you want to improve.
- 2
Needs analysis
We go through your routines, forms and systems together, and agree what the setup should cover from the start.
- 3
We complete the template for your farm
We adjust milking and tank times, forms, alert limits, languages and integrations, and show you the result before anyone starts.
- 4
Training and go-live
Staff learn the phone app on site, supervisors learn alerts and follow-up. We follow the first days closely and adjust what needs it.
More about Chickensystem for dairy farms
A dairy farm runs on routines that repeat twice or three times a day. Chickensystem keeps those routines and the health records in one place, and an integration can bring in figures from your milking system.
See the dairy farm pageQuestions dairy farmers ask
Is the dairy setup ready to use on day one?
It starts from our dairy template. We complete and adjust it with you before go-live, so the forms, times and limits match your farm rather than a generic one.
Can we change the tank temperature limit and the check times?
Yes. The default limit is 6 °C and the checks are at 07:00 and 19:00, but both are set per farm. You also choose who receives the alert.
Does the app work where there is no signal?
Yes. Everything is saved on the phone first and synced when the connection returns. Acknowledging an alert works offline too.
Which languages does the app support?
English, Swedish and Turkish today. Each worker picks their own. Other languages can be added on request.
What happens if someone enters a wrong figure?
They correct it, and the correction is stored as a new version with a reason. The original stays in the history, with who made each change, when and on which device.
What does it cost?
It is quoted per farm, after a conversation about your sites, routines and the integrations you need.
