For layer farms with packing and a feed mill
Laying hen farm software, set up for your farm
Chickensystem follows the whole chain: hens in the houses, eggs in the packing room, feed from your own mill and boxes out to the customer. Your staff register on their phones, even in the houses where there is no signal. You see the figures and get an alert when something is wrong.

Every house, every day, on record
Each house gets its own day view on the phone. Staff fill in what you have asked for, and the figures are worked out from it.
Mortality and culls
Dead and culled hens are registered with a cause, and a photo when the cause is unclear. The house shows today's count, the 30-day trend and the flock's mortality %.
Water meter readings
Meters are read at fixed times, for example 10:00, 13:00, 15:00 and 17:00. The previous reading is shown, so a typing slip stands out, and use is shown as litres per 1,000 hens.
Silo weights
Silos are weighed on a schedule, say every morning at 07:00. Each weighing becomes feed eaten per house and day, and grams per hen.
Cleaning and routines
Daily dusting, weekly pest control and other routines are set up as checklists, so you can see what was done and what was missed.
Climate and treatments
Climate figures and every treatment are kept with the house and the flock. With an integration, climate figures can come straight from your climate computer.
Flock history
Place a flock with breed, hen numbers and age. Chickensystem counts age in weeks and hens left, and keeps earlier flocks for comparison.
A phone app that works inside the hen house
Hen houses are often out of signal. The Chickensystem app saves registrations, photos, checklists and alert acknowledgements on the phone first. When the connection comes back, everything is sent in the order it was made, and nothing is counted twice.
Each worker chooses the app's language: English, Swedish or Turkish today, and more can be added for your team. Forms, reminders and alerts follow that choice.

Egg packing, batches, stock and deliveries
Packers register boxes and average box weight per grade, using your own grades such as S, M, L, XL and Jumbo, with dirty and broken eggs booked as waste. Every packing day becomes a batch with a best-before date worked out from your own number of days. Cartons, trays and labels are taken off stock as boxes are packed.
Each delivery is registered on the phone: the customer, boxes per grade and batch, and EUR pallets out and back, and the customer signs on the screen. A PDF delivery note is e-mailed to the customer. You see how many pallets each customer holds and for how long, and get an alert when a loan passes your limit, for example 14 days.

Your own feed mill, from raw materials to the silo
Recipes are set in kilograms per ton and must add up to 1,000 kg. Each one carries an age range for the flock it is meant for. When you change a recipe, a new version is created, so earlier production keeps the recipe it really used.
For each production the mill records the recipe and tons made. Chickensystem puts the expected use of each raw material next to the actual use, and marks differences above your limit in red. Feed is then booked to the silos of each house, and the silo weighings show what the hens actually ate.

Reminders and alerts, day and night
Recurring tasks are set up per department. The person on duty gets a reminder 15 minutes before, and a task not done by its deadline is marked as missed and can raise an alert. The checks are your own: more than 20 dead hens in a house in a day, no water reading by 10:30, or a house above 30 °C.
Critical alerts come up on the lock screen with sound. The supervisor acknowledges the alert, even without signal, and resolves it with a note on what was done. If nobody acknowledges a critical alert, it is sent again and escalated.

A dashboard and statistics for the owner
Open the dashboard in the morning and you see yesterday on one screen, for the farm and for each house: eggs, lay rate, mortality %, water per 1,000 hens, feed per egg, dirty and broken %. Each figure is compared with the day before and the last seven days, with open alerts and missed tasks beside it.
In statistics you pick a key figure and a period, from 7 days to a year, and compare it with the period before. Recipe versions, the inventory ledger with its adjustments and incident comments mean you can see what changed and who did it.

Connected to the systems you already have
Most laying hen farms already have a climate computer, scales and an accounting system. We build the integrations to your own systems, so their figures arrive on their own and nobody types the same number twice. A scale computer can send silo weights directly, for example.
Which integrations you need is agreed in our first conversation, together with the houses, forms, tasks, alert limits and languages we set up for you.
How we get your farm started
- 1
Tell us about your farm
Sites, houses, hen numbers, packing, the feed mill, how you record things today and what you want to improve.
- 2
Needs analysis
We go through your routines, forms, reports and systems with you and agree what Chickensystem should cover from the start.
- 3
We set up your system
Departments, forms, checklists, alert limits, languages and integrations, shown to you before anyone starts.
- 4
Training and go live
Staff learn the app in the house, managers learn the dashboard. We follow the first days closely and adjust what needs it.
Made for layer farms first
Egg production is where Chickensystem started, and each module covers one part of it: the hens, the eggs, the feed and the customer.
More about egg farmsQuestions from layer farm owners
Does the app work without mobile signal in the hen houses?
Yes. Registrations, photos, checklists and alert acknowledgements are saved on the phone and sent when the connection returns, in the order they were made.
Can staff use the app in their own language?
The app is available in English, Swedish and Turkish today, and each person picks their own. If your team needs another language, we can add it.
Do we have to use the feed mill and packing parts?
No. We agree with you what Chickensystem covers from the start, and departments or modules can be added later as you need them.
Can you connect to our climate computer, scales or accounting system?
We build integrations to the customer's own systems. Tell us what you use and we will look at it with you during the needs analysis.
How will I know if something goes wrong at night?
Alerts are checked as figures are registered and sent to the people you choose. Critical alerts reach the lock screen and are sent again and escalated if nobody acknowledges them.
What does it cost?
The price is quoted per farm after a conversation, because each setup depends on your sites, departments and integrations.
