Egg farms

Egg farm management software, built on a layer farm

Chickensystem was built together with a layer farm, and egg production is where every module is in daily use. It is layer farm software for the whole chain: the hens, the eggs, the feed and the customer.

Farm overview with lay rate, mortality, water and feed figures for yesterday

A day on a layer farm

Picture three houses with 100,000 hens each. At 07:00 the silos are weighed. The mortality round runs through every house, and dead and culled hens are registered with a cause. The water meters are read at 10:00, 13:00, 15:00 and 17:00. In the warehouse the eggs are graded and packed into boxes per size, and in the afternoon the truck leaves with deliveries and pallets. Every one of these steps is a registration on a phone.

The risks you watch

On a layer farm, the expensive problems usually start small:

  • A drinker line that fails — water per 1,000 hens drops before anything else shows
  • A rise in mortality in one house that is lost in the farm total
  • An egg withdrawal period after medication that is forgotten in the warehouse
  • Stock that drifts from the count because breakage is not booked
  • Pallets that stay with a customer for weeks
  • A visitor who came from another poultry farm yesterday

How Chickensystem covers it

Hen houses

Flocks, mortality, water per meter, silos, climate, cleaning, vaccinations and medication with withdrawal periods — with a red banner on the house while eggs may not be sold.

Egg warehouse

Production per grade with box weights, batches with best-before dates, waste, packaging use and a daily reconciliation against the count.

Feed mill

Recipes, production, silo filling and weighing, feed per hen and feed per egg.

Deliveries and biosecurity

Delivery notes with signatures, EUR pallets per customer, a visitor log at the wash station and incident follow-up.

Set up for your farm

We set up your sites and houses with their water meters and silos, your grades and packaging, your recipes and raw materials, your routines and the alert limits you want. Your team is trained on the phone app and the office on the dashboard before you go live.

Frequently asked questions

Is everything on this page available today?

Yes. Egg production is where Chickensystem started; every part described here is in use on a layer farm.

Can we start with the hen houses only?

Yes. Many farms start with the houses and add the warehouse and feed mill once the team is used to the app.

Does it handle cage-free and free-range houses?

The house setup is yours: you name the houses and choose what is registered in each, whatever the housing system.

Can our egg grader send its figures?

If the grader or packing line can export production per grade, we can integrate it.

How long does it take to get started?

It depends on the size of the farm and the integrations. We agree a plan after the needs analysis.
