Feed mills

Feed mill management software that follows every ton

A feed mill lives on its margins between raw materials in and feed out. Chickensystem records both ends and the production in between, and shows where the difference goes.

Feed mill: raw materials, feed produced and distributed, stock differences

A day at the mill

Trucks deliver corn, soy and minerals, each with a weight, a supplier and a delivery note. Production runs batch after batch to a recipe. Finished feed is loaded for farms or customers, or blown into silos. At the end of the week the bins and bags are counted.

Where the losses hide

  • Raw material use that differs from the recipe without anyone noticing
  • Receipts written on paper and typed in days later
  • Stock counts that do not match, with no way to see why
  • Recipe changes that make old production figures unclear

How Chickensystem covers it

Receipts

Raw materials are received in kg or tons with supplier, vehicle, a photo of the delivery note and a quality note.

Recipes and production

Recipes in kg per ton keep every version. Each production shows expected against actual raw material use.

Stock and differences

Calculated stock is compared with the count, and differences above your limit are marked.

On a farm or on its own

The feed mill module is in daily use on a layer farm, where it fills and weighs the house silos. A mill without its own farm uses the same module; we configure products, customers and deliveries with you.

Frequently asked questions

Can we use Chickensystem without a farm?

Yes. A company can consist of a feed mill alone, with its own customers and deliveries.

Can our weighbridge send weights?

If it offers an export or an interface, we can integrate it so receipts are weighed automatically.

Do recipe changes affect past production?

No. Each change is a new version; past productions keep the version they used.

Do you handle invoicing?

No. Deliveries are recorded in Chickensystem and invoicing stays in your accounting system, which we can integrate with.
